Backcountry Film Festival: Salmon, Idaho - TRUST Colorado

When: Mon, December 31, 6pm – 9pm

Where: Odd Fellows' Hall, Salmon, Idaho

Description: The Salmon Whitewater Park Association (SWPA) staged a "Development Agreement Signing Party" in early November. Salmon Wave Park Project Manager Breann Westfall said, "The party was very good. We had about 100 people show up, including 2 of the City Council members."

The next SWPA fund raising event will be 6-9 pm New Year's Eve to show the Winter Wildlands Alliance Backcountry Film Fest. The Winter Wildlands Alliance created the Backcountry Film Festival in 2005 to help grassroots and professional filmmakers to show audiences their love of the winter outdoors. Since then, the annual festival has been shown in many towns and cities around the world, and raised thousands of dollars to help efforts to preserve our winter environment.

Thanks to all that donated items to the garage sale!

We had lots of people and lots of items were sold to help with the purchase of the building.
Our next event is May 18th 2012. We will be having our community pre-race dinner at the Elks. Board members and community volunteers will be selling tickets. Tickets will get you in the door to have a great dinner by the Bistro crew, one free beer or soda and a chance at several raffle items. There will be silent auction items and a chance to win a new mountain bike.

The Outlaws and Angels band will be playing music.
Steve Stringham, Tami Nicks, Tracey Aldous, Steve Adams, Polly England, and Arlene Wolf have tickets and we will get one to you if you can't find them. Call the office at 756-8100 or call Jan at 940-0203.
The bike race starts at sunrise on Discovery Hill.

Information on the race and how to register can be viewed at Room for a few more riders. I rode most of the race route so if I can make it anyone who as ridden will have fun. We will have a racer comfort station and it appears one team is bringing beer for riders that need a carb. boost. Come join the fun.
Getting closer to the 12 Hours of Disco!

Max just said we have 66 riders and more yet to get sign up. That's awesome!

Racers wll be checking in and dinner will start in at the same time so dinner will be at 6:00 pm.
